Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning or WAR was developed by Mythic Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. It was released in North and South America, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand on September 18, 2008.
Warammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR) is a massively multiplayer online game, revolves around the continual worldwide conflict that the Warhammer Fantasy setting is known for, and the game is geared toward ongoing, constant war laced with dark humor.

Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning or WAR is a Realm vs Realm (RvR) game comprised of two separate functions: Order and Destruction. Each function contains three separate armies, each of w/c is further broken into three of four career choices. A number of careers will be gender specific only playable as a male or female character.
WAR is not purely derived from either Warhammer Fantasy Battles or Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay or any other source alone, but ruther from the Warhammer Fantasy universe as a whole.
